The first thing that came out of my husband’s mouth this morning, I’m craving some koe’sisters. He was in for a surprise because he didn’t realise I had a few frozen in my @stasherbag_sa 🙌 Mom made these koeksisters a while back and I used my @stasherbag_sa to freeze them so that when his craving hits I can just defrost, warm the syrup, dip and drip 😅

My morning matcha ritual 🍵 I thought I’d share it with you today.
• I start by warming my matcha bowl with boiling hot water; I also place my bamboo whisk in the bowl of water to soften the bristles. Then I discard the water leaving the bowl nice and warm.
• Using my bamboo spoon, I add 1 heaped serving of matcha powder, a cup of milk (I love using Macadamia milk but any milk of choice will do) and a teaspoon of raw honey.
• Using my bamboo whisk, I gently whisk until all the powder has dissolved 🍵
• Most important and final step: I find a comfortable sunny spot and then I drink my matcha latte slowly whilst having quiet time.

My friend and I saw this beautiful new cafe in the mall we often frequent, a few days ago - the aesthetics captured all my senses. But on the day we saw it we were in gym wear and felt too sweaty for a sit down so we decided to dress up today for our first visit to Meem Cafe. And since we are now officially on holiday for 2 weeks 🙌 'something new' was a must-do.
We really enjoyed the calm of the cafe. Complimentary iftar snacks were served (dates, tahini, apple/mint laban drink and a bread basket). We both ordered the Falafel Wrap for mains which was really delicious.
We love this new find in Al Kout Mall.

What's your favourite SPARKLING WINE?
I can't believe I haven't been to JC Le Roux before 🙈 Especially with 'Cape Townian' and 'Matie' on my CV 😅 But alas, I made it to the breathtakingly beautiful estate.
We didn't go for the wine tasting, which takes place downstairs, but rather for lunch (upstairs) where we could pick our favourite sparkling wine to accompany our meal.
Not gonna lie, it was very difficult for me to pick something to eat though because there aren't many plant-based options on the menu but my prawns & calamari pasta (Mike's special) was really nice - no cream 😁 Oh, and our accompanying bubbles were YUM! 🥂 I was even blessed with a very special cocktail!
